Dirk Pastorick is the Managing Partner of Nelson Law LLC and an accomplished first-chair trial attorney with over three decades of experience representing clients in high-exposure, precedent-setting litigation across the country.
Practicing since 1995 and licensed in Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Texas, Dirk brings national reach and deep subject-matter experience to every matter he leads.
At Nelson Law, Dirk helps lead a firm built for the future of mobility, insurance, and data-driven litigation. The firm blends deep trial experience with cutting-edge insights into vehicle data, telematics, federal and state regulatory frameworks, and the technological forces reshaping modern transportation. Nelson Law represents insurers, OEMs, technology providers, and businesses nationwide in complex litigation, regulatory matters, and strategic advisory work.
Dirk is internationally recognized for his representation of global entities facing high-exposure liability and crisis-management challenges. His work often intersects with the rapidly evolving world of mobility and technology—where he advises clients on the tort and litigation implications of automated vehicles, connected-car data, advanced driver-assistance systems, and other emerging technologies.
He has served as lead counsel on some of the most challenging and large-value civil cases in the industry, including matters involving novel theories of liability, sophisticated risk structures, and emerging areas of law. His ability to distill complex facts into compelling trial narratives has made him a trusted advocate for insurers, corporations, international organizations, and industry leaders.
Representative Experience:
Dirk also has extensive experience with complex insurance and commercial litigation, specifically cases involving professional liability, employment claims, premises liability, fraternity and sorority matters, liquor liability, and product liability.
He also has litigated cases involving construction defect, environmental, and bad faith disputes under primary, excess, specialty, and alternative insurance coverages.
