Thoughts from the Driver’s Seat with Mike Nelson

My Favorite ADAS Features

Last week we profiled a study from IIHS-HLDI in which researchers found that the use of certain existing and anticipated ADAS features would likely “deliver substantial gains” to older drivers in particular. Existing features included in the study were AEB, lane departure prevention, and blind spot detection. Newer, upcoming safety features considered by the researchers included vehicle-to-vehicle-enhanced left turn assist and intersection movement assist.

Notwithstanding his birth year, partner Mike Nelson agrees that AEB is “game changing,” and has found other ADAS features particularly useful in his day-to-day driving. See what he has to say here.
